LSG&A’s culture is based upon passion, a strong work ethic, and a responsibility to the clients and the community that we practice in.  The staff is encouraged to participate in community events and entrepreneurship for their personal benefit, the strength of the company and the well-being of the industry. 

Volunteering in the community and in the industry is a core value of the LSG&A and is supported by the Company generously.

On Saturday, June 13th 2009, LSG&A continued our annual participation in the Lee Allan Dowches Memorial Golf Outing, in Andover, NJ. Despite the bad weather, the LSG&A golf team completed the round of golf and helped raise money for the memorial scholarship fund.

The golf outing was established in 1998 in support of the Rho Delt Alumni Scholarship Program. Since that time the outing has raised approximately $40,000 towards the program's endowment which is currently in excess of $305,000.  The scholarship program has awarded over $60,000 to undergraduates since its inception in 1998. LSG&A is proud to continue our support of the Mount Pleasant Animal Shelter’s 5th annual Mutts Marathon. muttThis year, the annual event raised over $35,000 for the animal shelter. Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter is a non-profit, no-kill, animal welfare organization that is 100% privately funded. Their mission is threefold:

  1. To provide exceptional care for homeless animals
  2. To promote spaying/neutering, micro chipping and humane education

To place homeless cats and dogs in permanent, loving homes

On Sunday, September 28 2008, Michael Spencer will be judging the Loudest PBike 1ipes contest at the Haycock Fire Company’s 9th Annual Bikefest. This will be the third year Mr. Spencer has assisted with the fundraising event as a judge in the Bike Games. The use of LSG&A’s 2260 portable sound level analyzer takes the Loudest Pipes contest to a new level.

“Bikefest started as a motorcycle-based fundraiser that was geared toward whole family entertainment. We have further expanded the event to be a celebration for all emergency services. It allows motorcycle enthusiasts and emergency services personnel from all around to gather together to show off their creations, trade stories, and have a good time. It is a full day of fun for everyone. Lots of vendors, games, live demonstrations and of course lots of food and beverages.”

Mr. Spencer is actively involved with the National Speleological Society, the Greater AllentoCave 1wn Grotto, and the Pennsylvania Cave Conservancy, in addition to other non-profit caving organizations. He regularly participates in the exploration, survey and photo documentation of numerous caves, and volunteers as a county steward for the Pennsylvania Cave Survey, coordinating cave database information for Lehigh and Northampton Counties.
