Position: Project Manager

Lewis S. Goodfriend & Associates, a consulting engineering firm in acoustics with almost 60 years of diversified experience, is looking for an experienced full time Project Manager to manage our NJ and NYC offices. The firm has practical approach to projects and is looking for a Project Manager that has experience in this type of approach.

Job Requirements:

  • Undergraduate or advanced degree from in acoustics, physics, mechanical or electrical engineering,
  • A minimum of 7-10 years work experience in acoustical consulting,
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and people
  • Microsoft Office, and
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Preferences:
            Professional Engineering License
            Experience with expert witness testimony
            Knowledge of Sustainable Design practices
            Experience with Acoustical Modeling Software
            Small Firm experience
            Knowledge of the Metro NYC market

The firm currently operates offices in Whippany, NJ and midtown Manhattan. This position would work in between both offices. Position: Staff Engineer

Lewis S. Goodfriend & Associates is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a position of Staff Engineer. The candidate for this position must have an undergraduate degree in acoustics, mechanical or electrical engineering with electives, graduate courses or appropriate equivalent experience in acoustics. The candidate must have good written and speaking communications skills, a dedicated work ethic and be familiar with sound level measurements, engineering calculations, and report preparation.
